The Midlife Method Digital Cookbook
28 real-food recipes, all in one place.
I’m Jimela Bewley — the cook the internet calls the Sardine Queen. But The Midlife Method is bigger than recipes. It’s 1:1 coaching, lab literacy, peptide education, and real food, all built on one belief: your body deserves real answers, not another diet.
We get prescribed hormones based on a symptom checklist, with nobody looking at the fuller picture, our thyroid, our metabolic health, our inflammation, before changing our hormones entirely. We get told hot flashes, brain fog, and exhaustion are just part of getting older. We get told to wait it out.
Perimenopause and menopause do not happen in isolation. Your hormones, your labs, your food, your energy, they are not separate problems to solve one at a time. They are one connected system, and the answers only come when someone finally looks at the whole picture instead of a single number on a page.
That is why The Midlife Method is not just recipes, and not just coaching, and not just lab literacy. It is all of it, together, because that is the only way any of it actually works.

I’m a culinary-trained cook and recipe developer, but the fuller story starts before the recipes. At 53, I was dismissed by doctors who told me my labs looked fine when I did not feel fine. So I learned to read my own bloodwork, ask better questions, and advocate for myself the way I now teach other women to do.
That self-advocacy became The Midlife Method: 1:1 coaching for lab literacy and GLP-1 support, education on peptides most women have never had explained to them clearly, and yes, real food, because a humble tin of sardines became a viral reel and then a whole community of women ready to feel like themselves again.
The Midlife Method is everything I’ve learned about navigating midlife with real answers, not restriction. Honest, thorough, and rooted in the belief that you deserve to be the most informed person in the room.
